She said He Said selling well!

We've had a rush of sales of She said He Said.  And the feedback is wonderful also.  To quote a reader, Roy: "Open this book and it'll open your mind!"

Meanwhile in other news, the book is also starting to reach book stores across the globe.  Here's one from South Africa - although the price just shows how much you save buying directly from us (or, if you really must, Amazon)!

For more on this life-changing book, take a look at the Powaforce Forum.

Ivana Kuzmanovic joins the Pikkeljig label!

This is one you won't want to miss.

More details to come!

Slab huts to commuter country - published!

Pikkeljig Press is very proud to announce the publication of its latest non-fiction title: Slab Huts to Commuter Country by Dr W.L. Macdonald.

This book comprises a social history of the women of the Huon and Channel region of Tasmania from 1900 to 2013. It traces the joys, challenges and struggles of living in one of the most beautiful, yet one of the most unforgiving, places on the planet. It charts the rapid change from frontier society to modern State - and how the women of this region responded.

Given the scarcity of texts written about Tasmanian social history, and the almost complete absence of any detailing that history from the perspective of women, we take particular pride in this thoroughly researched, yet immediately accessible and compelling volume.  What Dr Macdonald has done in terms of preserving fast-fading oral history is nothing short of astounding in both its scope and importance to future generations.  The photographs and the author's own illustrations contribute significantly to the richness of her research.

We hope you enjoy this amazing work.  May it receive the recognition it deserves.

Featured photographer: Peta Santoro

Pikkeljig Press is proud to present its photographer of choice, Peta Santoro.

Ms Santoro's deft touch in capturing light and shade, expression and composition make her the perfect choice for Pikkeljig's author photographs (see for example the picture of Dan Djurdjevic below).

She has lately been focusing on pet (particularly dog and cat) portraits and samples of her work can be found on her website.
